Andrea joined the Patient Reported Outcomes Group in 2014. She initially qualified as a General Nurse in 1988, deciding to spend a year nursing in Australia before returning to England and specialising in general medicine, district nursing and palliative care. For the last 13 years Andrea has worked in oncology, with 6 years as a chemotherapy nurse, 4 as a Research Sister within early phase trials, and the last 3 years with the Patient Reported Outcomes Group.

Since joining the team Andrea has worked significantly on projects involving patients remotely reporting  symptoms of cancer treatment. During this time she has helped develop and create websites with patient self-management advice and plays a key role in training colleagues in study management and I.T. practices that are relevant to the projects undertaken.
